Psalm 119–4, Dalet

Door or Entrance, verses 25-32

Psalm 119 is broken down into 22 different sections, one for each letter of the Hebrew alphabet. Included in each day’s prayer is a common meaning of the letter, and the verses connected with that section.

God. Abba. Father.

Some days we are weary. It seems like every door we try to go through is closed. Remind us that you allow us entrance and you prevent us entrance for our good. Help us to understand your ways. Give us your wisdom. Teach us your word. Let us ponder your miracles.

Give us strength, Lord. Breathe new life into our fatigued body and soul. As you guide, assemble barricades to paths that lead nowhere and give us clarity in vision and purpose. Help us to stay on target to your truth, your ways, your life.

When we are confused, you give us understanding. Thank you! We commit to running this race with perseverance and diligence, learning the things you want from us, and for us. We trust you and know that you will never let us down.

We praise you! We love you.

We thank you for Jesus, in whose name we pray.

Amen.
